Sealed bids for the City of Tipp City’s Kinna Drive Extension Project will be received at the Government Center, City of Tipp City, 260 S. Garber Dr., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers.

The Kinna Drive Extension Project will consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to construct approximately 1305’ of 37 foot wide curbed and guttered asphalt roadway including water mains, box culverts, storm and sanitary sewers according to plans and specifications on file and available from the City of Tipp City at a non-refundable cost of $50.00. Said bids shall be on a unit price basis and shall be in writing on the proposal forms furnished by the City of Tipp City.

The City intends to award this contract on December 15, 2008. All work on this project is to be completed prior to July 31, 2009.

The minimum wage to be paid to any and all classes of labor employed on this project shall conform to the prevailing wage rates on public improvements for this type work as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division.

All bids shall include a BID GUARANTY as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract with the City. The BID GUARANTY shall be a either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit in the amount equal to 10% of the total bid. All bidders shall include a copy of the bidder’s Workers Compensation Certificate and Certificate of Liability Insurance.

The City of Tipp City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids, and to accept any bid which is deemed by the City to be in their best interest.

Bid packages may be picked up at the Tipp City Government Offices, Office of the Service Director, 260 South Garber Drive, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
