North Hyatt Street Reconstruction Project - 2008

 North Hyatt Street has been reopened to the traveling public for use.  Construction crews have completed the project but have minor issues to complete over the next few weeks.  Please drive safely and follow any posted safety/construction signage during the final process of the project.  Thank you for your patience during this project.  The City will continue to use this hotline for any known, planned projects in the future.

The City of Tipp City has awarded a contract for the reconstruction, widening, and installation of utilities and storm sewer for the N. Hyatt Street reconstruction, Phase 2 Project to L.J. DeWeese Co., Inc. of Tipp City, Ohio.Work on the 2nd part of this project is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 18th and will require the closure of N. HYATT STREET & TIPP COWLESVILLE ROAD FROM COMANCHE LANE NORTH TO 1,000 FEET SOUTH OF KESSLER COWLESVILLE/CRANE ROAD from August 18, 2008 to mid-late November 2008.  L.J. DeWeese will install sanitary sewer, water lines, and storm sewer, followed by widening the street to three lanes, installing curb & gutter, and asphalt paving the entire street. Please follow the posted detour routes on W. Main St. (State Route 571), Co. Rd. 25A, and Tipp Cowlesville Road.  Local access to the Nevin Coppock, LT Ball and the Tipp Middle Schools, as well as Evan's Title and the Post Office will be available during this street closure.  We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding during this construction. The City has established a phone update system, which will provide recorded updates on the project and detour/closure status by calling 667-6293.
