PUBLIC POWER WEEK

Tipp City Utilities celebrates National Public Power Week the first week in October along with more than 2,000 other communities across the nation whose municipal electric systems provide their residents and businesses affordable, reliable power on a not-for-profit basis.  Reliable. Local. Yours.  That's what public power is all about.

Public Power Week is celebrated in conjunction with the American Public Power Association in Washington, D.C., the service organization for community and state owned electric utilities, and American Municipal Power-Ohio (AMP-O), the wholesale power supplier and services provider for 91-member public power communities in the Ohio Valley.  The Ohio Municipal Electric Association (OMEA), the legislative liaison for Ohio's public power communities is also a co-sponsor.
