Each new residential plat is required to provide "green space" and/or a dedicated neighborhood park. The following is a list of those neighborhood parks and the equipment available in each.
- Springhill Park in the Springhill development provides a gazebo with a bench, as well as another seating area, sidewalk and a number of new trees. Located on Fern Drive.
- Hampton Woods Park provides playground equipment and green space for casual recreational pursuits. Located on Beechwood Drive.
- Sycamore Woods Park is a new subdivision park currently under development. Located on Brookmere.
- Hathaway Park, an established neighborhood park, provides a number of choices of playground equipment for the neighborhood children and a meandering stream with benches. Located on Hathaway Trail.
- The Hyattsville Park is a small "pocket" park area adjacent to the Dairy Queen on the corner of Hyatt and Main. Benches are available for seating.
- Lesher Woods is a newly-acquired wooded area located near the High School adjacent to interstate 75.
- Rosewood Creek Park is located at the corner of Peters and Kessler-Cowlesville, in the new Rosewood Creek subdivision.
- Tweed Woods Park currently has playground equipment available and a large fenced-in open green space. This fenced in area will be renovated and provide active open space use in the future. Located on Sequoia Court.
- The Woodlawn Park houses a park which includes playground equipment, picnic table, soccer goal, a baseball diamond, and a bike trail. Access to this park is off of Woodlawn Drive and Fairlawn Circle.
- Windmere Park provides a place for baseball, football, soccer and also includes playground equipment and a paved path. Accessible from Greensward cul-de-sac and circle.
- Canal Lock Park currently hosts a parking lot and bike trail segment with historical decorative lights next to Canal Lock #15. The Railroad Depot is located at South 5th Street and Dow.
