Wellfields

Northern Area Water Authority (NAWA) owns and operates 6 main water wells for water production.  Four are near the east corporation limits of Tipp City on the north side of Main Street and two more are to the east on the south side of State Route 571 in Monroe Township.  All six wells average 100-150 feet in depth and pump approximately  3.2 million gallons (MG) per day.  We are currently under contract for the addition of a 7th well to allow us greater flexibility and more capacity for future water treatment.

While NAWA owns and operates the well, the City of Tipp City continues to own the wellfields themselves and as such is responsible for the protectection of the Wellhead Area.  PRAIRIES Lost Creek, Freeman etc.... add picture..
