History Reinvestment in Tipp City’s infrastructure (ladder truck, Fire/EMS station, repaving streets, street projects, etc.) has been a focus for Tipp City Council. In 2010, a 21-person Citizen’s Committee was formed to explore the Capital Improvements needs for Tipp City. The Committee met, reviewed projects, and made a recommendation to place a Tax Levy on the ballot to fund Tipp’s infrastructure improvements. The recommendations of the Committee were the basis of the city’s Capital Improvement Plan thru 2020. In May of 2011, the voters of Tipp City approved a 0.50% 10-year Capital Improvement Levy. This Tax Levy raised +/- $20 million dollars for capital improvements over the 10-year life of the tax levy. That levy has expired.
