Mission Statement

The mission of Tipp City’s Utility Billing Department is to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the billing and collection of utility charges. We strive to provide the best customer service that will exceed all expectations by listening to our customers and responding to their needs in a timely, professional, courteous, and respectful manner. 

Utility Billing operates under the direction of the Finance Department and the primary function is to provide the citizens with prompt and courteous customer service while maintaining an accurate and efficient billing and collection system. Utility Billing provides for the monthly billing and collection of electric, water, sewer and residential garbage collection services.

Responsible for Billing Over 5,800 Accounts Monthly

Tipp City’s Utility Billing Department is responsible for billing over 5,800 accounts monthly for electric, water, wastewater, and/or refuse services. Tipp City’s Utility rates are among the lowest in the entire Miami Valley Area. 


The City owns and operates an electric distribution system as well as a water and sewer distribution system. Refuse pick-up for residential service is contracted out via bids while the City maintains the billing. Refuse service for a Tipp City Business is open for the business to locate the provider of their choice.
